Warton Wargamers

Wargaming: fighting battles with toy soldiers has been around since Roman times, but today’s sophisticated model miniatures are a far cry from the clay men of yesterday. However the fun and competitive elements remain, how to bring victory from the chaos of the battlefield.

I am looking for people interested in military history and who can spare one Saturday a month to try their luck on the field of battle. Wargaming covers all periods of history and I can provide games in the following settings: Medieval, Wars of the Roses, American Civil War on land and sea, World War One naval and aerial. I would however suggest you be at least 15 years of age or older, personally I have been wargaming for around forty years.
